One of the things that RCMA values is contributing back to each city that we host an event in. At Emerge 2018 in Omaha, you’ll have a chance to give back in a variety of ways. On Tuesday January 30, 2018 from 8-11:30am participants can pre-register for one of the following experiences:

This project is sorting jewelry donated to the Thrift Stores. The Adult Rehabilitation center is funded through these stores. Often jewelry is donated in bulk and it is kind of like looking for diamonds in the rough. Snacks will be provided and volunteers will see a short video explaining the program and the importance of their volunteering.

Open Door Mission

Open Door Mission is committed to breaking the cycle of homelessness and poverty in Omaha. Each day they offer 816 safe beds to homeless men, women and children, serve over 2,000 hot, nutritious meals and provide preventive measures to more than 275 people living in poverty. Participants will assist with a variety of tasks that could include meal prep and assembling sack lunches, and sorting clothing, furnishings and personal items for the homeless.

Ronald McDonald House Charities

This activity involves making Sibling Activity Bags for the brothers and sisters of hospital patients. This helps to keep them busy during long trips to the hospital. (items may include card games, coloring books, snack and/or juice box, small puzzles, activity books, travel size games, etc) Local businesses are donating items for the bags.
